The most important aspect in Silhouette Photography is to capture the brighter background in contrast to the much darker almost completely black colored subject. This cool, artistic type of photography is attained by focusing on the brighter source of light to silhouette the subject. The photographer needs to achieve the picture with either one or more dark black subjects surrounded by a bright and often colorful background, which is usually the sky/sun/lights in the area. Sunrise and sunset are very popular times of day to take silhouette pictures because they provide very beautiful and ideal light sources for the picture.

Cubism is a form of modern art developed at the turn of the 20th century by both notably Pablo Picasso and Georges Braques around 1907 in Paris where they collaborated. It was developed by artists who believed that the old Western art staples had been around for long enough, and deserved a new form of seeing the modern age. As the beginning of the century introduced new technological advancements and everyday life, new artists were confronted with a problem to convey all their’ thoughts and feelings through centuries old styles of art. People needed a new style of art for the modern times/world. Out of this need was born Cubism, an abstract style of modern art. 116 words.
